We price in USD, not Rand, on purpose. That means one stable number, unaffected by exchange rate swings, and a renewal that never surprises you. Here is the honest case for that, and what it means for you.
.co.za is open to anyone.
Unlike some country-code domains, .co.za has no residency or entity requirement. ZADNA, the authority behind .za, defines a registrant simply as "anyone who would like to register and use a domain name." You can register one whether you are based in South Africa or anywhere else.
- No ABN-style gate. There is no South African ID, company registration, or local presence requirement to register .co.za, unlike Australia's .com.au.
- We price in USD. We do not currently support ZAR billing. Every price you see is in US dollars, and it does not move with the Rand.
- Mix and match if you want to. Keep other domains or hosting local if that suits you, and use us for the pieces where USD pricing and flat renewals work in your favor.

That is an honest admission, and it is worth taking seriously wherever you register or host. Our answer is the same everywhere we operate: the price you register at is the price you renew at. No exceptions, no asterisk.
Prices above are shown in USD for reference. If VAT applies to your order, it is calculated and shown clearly at checkout rather than folded invisibly into the sticker price.
Our hosting infrastructure partner runs data centers in the US, UK, Finland, Bulgaria and Australia. There is no data center in South Africa. Our UK and Bulgaria facilities are geographically closer to South Africa than our US or Australian ones, but we have not confirmed which is the active default for your account. Ask support before you order if distance matters to you.
We are not claiming a local South African data center. If that is a requirement for you, a local host is the right choice for that specific need.
